#MW3 Double XP and New Maps

So it appears the final maps have arrived and with it Double XP! I really like Parish, there’s just a good smallish quality about it, its not too much of a clusterattack but still small enough for that faster action. Gulch just looked bad arse from the start, and it does offer interesting gameplay. Then Boardwalk, I have hardly played, but this one I’m not quite a fan of. It reminds me of MW2’s Carnival, and either this map or the old one were quite good. For those Elite members who have not downloaded their maps yet get on it ASAP!

#MW3 Faceoff

Well, they’ve been around for months now, and I must say I am becoming very attached to Faceoff 1v1 and when I have a reliable teammate, 2v2. Not too many chances to play 3v3, but I expect its very similar to Team Tactical, only minus most of the objective modes other than KC.

I can definitely say that my W/L ratio is skyrocketing off these new playlists and my K/D is getting a nice boost too. Stats aren’t what the game is about, but they make easy work of setting goals for yourself on the game.

February Modern Warfare 3 DLC, new maps!

Elite Content Drop 3:

Activision have announced Modern Warfare 3’s third Call of Duty ELITE Content Drop, a multiplayer map titled ‘Overwatch’, and it’s coming to Xbox 360 Premium members on February 21st! Judging from a promotional image released (seen here), Overwatch takes place on a construction site atop a large skyscraper. 

The Content Calendar has also been updated to reflect today’s announcement and also gives a sneak peek at March’s Content Drops, listing three pieces of content — ‘Black Box’, a multiplayer map, as well as ‘Black Ice’ and ‘Negotiator’, two Spec Ops missions. 

‘Infection’ Updates:

Infection players will notice some changes when they join a game today. 

The mode now has a 10 minute round timer, 20 second intermission between games, a maximum party limit of 9, and all perks within this mode are now Pro. There are also new Classes, which can be viewed here.

Playlist Updates: 

Just  days after it was replaced by ‘Infection’, Drop Zone is making a triumphant return to Modern Warfare 3’s Community Playlists! The mode will return tonight.

Due to the thousands of tweets I received over the weekend; Drop Zone is returning to #MW3 Community Playlists alongside Infected tonight!
